Gossip Spotlight - Graceham, Frederick County, Maryland - 16 June 2016

Last week, I was part of a panel discussing technology and blogs in genealogy at the Frederick County Genealogical Society June meeting. I mentioned that I like to post items to coincide with dates that events happened or papers were published. So for an example, I am posting the "News of Maryland and Frederick County Towns" for June 16, 1916....or as I like to refer to it, "the gossip section"!! I love reading the local news of areas from long ago. You get to learn when and whom people visited and where they did business and much much more. It's those little nuggets that makes our genealogy research interesting and makes our relatives real.

Today's spotlight is on the Graceham section of Frederick County, Maryland. I bolded the surnames in the transcription. I also kept any misspellings and punctuation errors that were published.

Hope someone recognizes a relative or two!!
